Two of the nation’s top ten squads tallied early and then settled in for a scoreless duel the rest of the way as No. 2 The Master’s and 10th-ranked Benedictine of Kansas played to a 1-1 tie Saturday evening in Salt Lake City. The draw moved the Mustangs’ record to 0-1-1

It didn’t take long for the Ravens to jump on top as Kyle Greig got one by Mustang keeper Andrew Bussell just 21 seconds into play. However, the Mustangs retaliated just over eight minutes later when last year’s scoring leader Joel Peluffo scored unassisted at the 8:27 mark to knot things up.

That was the last time either team would score as the defenses ruled over the final 81-plus minutes. Bussell had one save in his third career start.
