Registration for the Intramural Tennis Tournament will be held from Tuesday,
November 01, 2005 to Friday, November 11.

General Information:
1. Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles tournaments will be offered
based sufficient interest exists. Matches in round robin play will be played
in one regular six game set. In the tournament draw, matches will be played
with an eight game pro-set until the finals which will be best two of three
complete sets.
2. The entry fee for each TMC Intramural Tournament is $3. This fee must be
turned in before your first match will be allowed to begin.
3. Players will keep score themselves and should honor their opponents call.
If there is a dispute, which cannot be resolved, then the point should be replayed.
4. In the event of inclement weather, please call 360.473.6258 on the day of
the scheduled tournament.
Singles Activity Format: The tournament will begin on Saturday,
November 12 at 9:00 AM. After sign-ups have finished, players will be placed
randomly into separate pools. A pool will consist of a minimum of three players
and a maximum of four. The players with the top records from each pool along
with one wild card with the next best record will be seeded into a tournament
bracket to determine the overall champion. Schedules will be posted on Saturday
morning by 9 AM by the tennis courts. Most of the matches are expected to be
played between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM. There will be an Intramural Sports Supervisor
present to record scores at the end of each match. The Intramural Sports Director
will place each player into a playing format at this time depending on the number
of players who show up to play. Players must arrive by the check-in time, or
15 minutes before their first match or their position may be lost.
Doubles Activity Format: All entries into the doubles tournament
will be randomly placed into one single elimination bracket. There will be only
one doubles tournament so doubles teams may be formed with any matching of men
and women (i.e. MM, WM, WW).
Equipment/Facilities:
1. Your own racquets must be provided.
2. Tennis matches will be played at the TMC tennis courts. It is the responsibility
of each player to ensure that they have a racquet for each match. Failure to
be prepared to play will result in a forfeit.
3. Balls will be available at the courts.
