1.00.00 Purpose

The Office of Student Employment (OSE) at The Master’s College administers the Work Study Program and functions as the Human Resources Department for all of the Student Employees at The Master’s College. The OSE also coordinates the part-time and temporary jobs on the Job Board and the Babysitting and Tutoring Registries as a service to all TMC students and alumni.

The Job Board lists over 1000 employment opportunities each year. This free job-posting is updated regularly by the Office of Student Employment and connects many students with potential employers each week. (Full-time positions are also posted through Career Services for graduates and students nearing graduation who are looking for career opportunities.)

The OSE coordinates all personnel activities of student employees. Any on-campus position, for which a current TMC student will be hired, must be filled in cooperation with Student Employment. Anyone enrolled as a full-time TMC student and who holds a position that requires less than 30 hours per week must be paid as a student employee. Departments should consult the OSE prior to making any employment offers to students. All student employees must come to the OSE to complete necessary paperwork prior to beginning work.

The mission of the Office of Student Employment is to give students access to meaningful employment opportunities that will provide financially, will challenge them to develop their skills, character, and work ethic, and will afford them the opportunity to positively impact the world for our Lord Jesus Christ.
