It is important to be good stewards of this world which God has given us, so that we can responsibly utilize our God-given resources to sustain life with growing populations.   As the demand for resources increases we are able to sustain and even increase populations and natural resources. If you enjoy the outdoors and wildlife, this is a major for you.

Our opportunities expand beyond our local chaparral ecosystem through the expanded opportunities with our association with the Au Sable Institute (campuses in Whidbey Island, upstate Michigan, Florida, and southern India).

This major also encompasses the aspect of biological taxonomy and how the species concept fits into the topics of biological origins.
